AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR
PULMONARY STENOSIS

Pulmonary stenosis is a birth defect that happens when the heart of the fetus doesn't form properly during the first eight weeks of pregnancy. Between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery is where the pulmonary valve is located. It has three flaps that work like a one-way door, letting blood flow into the pulmonary artery but not back into the right ventricle.

When there are issues with the pulmonary valve, it is more difficult for the leaflets to open and allow blood to move normally from the right ventricle to the lungs. This condition is known as pulmonary stenosis. These issues can manifest in kids and include:
A valve with leaflets that have fused together partially.
A valve with heavy leaflets that do not fully open.
There is a narrowing of the space above or below the pulmonary valve.

PULMONARY STENOSIS

Pulmonary stenosis can happen in any of four ways:
Pulmonary valve stenosis. The valve leaflets have gotten wider or thicker.
Pulmonary supravalvar stenosis. The pulmonary artery is constricted slightly above the pulmonary valve.
Pulmonary infundibular (subvalvar) stenosis. The muscle beneath the valve area has thickened, which narrows the right ventricle's outflow route.
Branch pulmonic stenosis on the periphery. Both the right and left pulmonary arteries may be narrowed, or just one of them.

There can be many types of pulmonary stenosis, which are categorized based on how much blood flow is obstructed. A child who has significant pulmonary stenosis may be exceedingly unwell and exhibit severe symptoms at a young age. A child with mild pulmonary stenosis may show minimal, no, or delayed symptoms until adulthood. A blockage of a moderate or severe degree can deteriorate with time.

Pneumocongenital heart disease affects 5 to 10% of all congenital heart defect cases and 50% of all complex congenital heart abnormalities. Inadequate pulmonary valve development during the first eight weeks of fetal growth is the cause of congenital pulmonary stenosis. This abnormality of the heart can be caused by a number of things, but most of the time it just happens by chance and for no clear reason. Some congenital heart diseases may be linked to a gene defect, a chromosome aberration, or environmental exposure. As a result, heart disorders may run in families more frequently in some cases.

Mild pulmonary stenosis could go unnoticed. When pulmonary stenosis is moderate to severe, issues can arise. When this occurs, the right ventricle must exert more effort in an effort to push blood past the constricted pulmonary valve. The right ventricle eventually becomes overwhelmed by the added burden and is unable to push blood forward effectively. Right atrial pressure increases, which causes the blood to return to the right side of the heart through the veins. Swelling and fluid retention could occur.

Unnoticed pulmonary stenosis may exist. Problems might occur when pulmonary stenosis is moderate to severe. In order to force blood past the narrowed pulmonary valve when this happens, the right ventricle must work harder. The right ventricle eventually becomes unable to properly push blood ahead due to the increased load. Blood flows back through the veins to the right side of the heart as the right atrial pressure rises. Fluid retention and swelling could happen. Simply put, a heart murmur is a sound brought on by blood turbulence as it flows through a constricted pulmonary valve. If your child has certain signs, we at DHAGE HEALTHCARE CARDIO PROTECTIVE AYURVED CENTRE can make a better diagnosis and give better care.

Congenital heart defects and potential pediatric heart conditions are our areas of expertise at DHAGE HEALTHCARE CARDIO PROTECTIVE AYURVED CENTRE. We also specialize in the diagnosis and medical management of congenital heart disorders. Physical examination, heart and lung listening, and other observations are all done to aid in the diagnosis. The murmur's loudness, character, and placement within the chest will all help us determine which type of cardiac disease your child may have and will aid in a more accurate diagnosis, treatment, and course of ayurvedic treatment.
