AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR
TRICUSPID VALVE STENOSIS
The tricuspid valve opening narrows due to tricuspid stenosis. Tricuspid stenosis makes it hard for blood to move from the right side of the upper (atrium) chamber to the lower (ventricle) chamber of the heart.
Due to restricted blood flow through the tiny tricuspid valve opening, the right atrium may eventually expand. When the atrium gets bigger, it can change the pressure and blood flow in nearby veins and chambers.
The pressure in the right ventricle could be lower because the amount of blood entering from the right atrium is reduced. This could result in less blood circulating through the lungs to get oxygen.
Tricuspid stenosis can sometimes be caused by heart tumors, radiation therapy for cancer, or birth defects.
Palpitations, a fluttering sensation in the chest, swelling in the legs, cold skin, and exhaustion are among the symptoms, which are typically moderate. At Dhage Healthcare Cardio-Protective Ayurvedic Centre, medications are frequently used in medical management, along with frequent echocardiograms to check on the health of the valves. Tricuspid stenosis may require surgery for correction or replacement if it is severe enough.
Symptoms of Tricuspid Valve Stenosis
Cold skin
Discomfort in the abdominal area
Fatigue
A fluttering pain in the neck
Tricuspid valve stenosis is a rare disorder and is best managed by an interprofessional team. Mild cases of tricuspid stenosis are usually easy to deal with and can be treated with ayurvedic medicines and therapies. Ayurvedic medicines may be prescribed to ease the workload of the heart and regulate the rhythm. However, since people who have this condition are at increased risk for heart infections, we at DHAGE HEALTHCARE CARDIO PROTECTIVE AYURVED CENTRE may prescribe precautionary antibiotics. When procedures like dental surgery need to be done, antibiotics are given as a precaution to prevent bacterial endocarditis, which is an infection of the heart tissue.
Very often, narrowing of the tricuspid valve is associated with diseases of the other valves like the mitral valve and aortic valve. Narrowed valves can be enlarged by similar balloon procedures sometimes. But many times, they may have to be replaced or repaired in an open surgery. When more valves are severely diseased, the seriousness of the disease also increases.
